I am passionate about supporting software engineers as they take on greater responsibility. It might be taking on larger system design, managing people for the first time, or perhaps stepping up to manage multiple teams along with a seat at the executive table.
Each of these transitions lands you in a very different role with a whole new set of responsibilities, expectations and complexities. This is often unsettling and having someone beside you who has walked a similar path is a tremendous support.
My belief is that you already have everything you need to be successful as you tackle these new responsibilities, and there are habits that are no longer supporting you (and, maybe, some skills to develop and refine). We all have blind spots and coaching is, by far, the best way I have found to become aware of and address these inhibitors to success.
I am a software engineer who has held senior leadership roles at several companies. I hold a masters in Computer Science from Stanford University (I was driven to be a great engineer), an MBA from the Macquarie School of Business in Australia (then I desired to be a great manager/leader), and I have been an ICF certified coach since 2015 (and now I am driven to be a tremendous support for those around me).
When it’s time to take care of myself you will either find me in the yoga studio with my wife or hiking the trails around our home in Southern California (nature really is the best restorer of vitality). And, when it’s time to get the heart rate up I’ll be on my gravel bike getting some much needed miles in. I look forward to supporting you on your own individual journey.
