I am an engineering leader and founder with 16 years of experience building and scaling teams. My career spans climate tech, consumer technology, and legal services, from zero-to-one startups through growth-stage companies and a unicorn. Grounded in an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business and training as a Certified Conscious Leadership Coach, I know what it takes to lead through every stage of growth.

As VP of Engineering at Marco Polo, I joined the executive team and led the adoption of AI-assisted development across the engineering org. As VP of Engineering at Uplight, I led a 100+ person engineering org through a Schneider-led investment at a $1.5 billion valuation and the AutoGrid acquisition, rising through three levels of leadership in under four years. Earlier, I co-founded Nikola Power, a venture-backed clean energy software startup, as Chief Product Officer and then COO, and went through the Techstars Sustainability Accelerator. I also helped start a law firm and built its finance, operations, and systems from zero. Across every stage, the throughline of my career has been scaling teams and organizations through rapid change.

Today I coach analytical leaders with an operator's mindset, people who have built their success on strong problem-solving and are ready to lead through rapid change. The work I do with clients is the work I had to do myself, so I tend to recognize a pattern early and name it plainly. I blend Conscious Leadership principles with pragmatic business practice, and I'll ask before we go somewhere uncomfortable.

Outside of work, I'm a former b-boy and DJ who still plays drums, guitar, bass, and ukulele. I'm also fitness-focused, training in jiu-jitsu and kettlebells — and I love food, wine, coffee, and tea. I live in the Los Angeles area with my family.
