I'm a seasoned technology executive with expertise in software-as-a-service (SaaS) and building globally distributed technology organizations. With three decades of experience, I've lead and scaled engineering teams, driving digital transformations, and leveraging technology to deliver business agility.
I spent nearly 20 years in the Silicon Valley, and moved to Seattle after one of my companies was acquired by Microsoft. I'm now in Austin, where I've spent the past 15 years in CTO roles for high growth businesses, such as Cars.com, Aceable, Peakest Technology, Gridstat (a company I also co-founded), Scout Analytics, and more. I coach CTOs and VPs of Engineering to lead high-performing, cross-functional, and revenue-oriented teams.
A passionate lifelong learner, I practice "New Skill Sunday" to continually improve myself. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of Washington and my MBA from Haas. Outside of work, I cherish quality time with my wife and two sons, and am enthusiastic traveler, having explored over 70 countries.
