I support new managers and engineering leaders who face a challenge that’s bigger and more daunting than they’ve encountered before. It might be getting a promotion, managing managers for the first time, leading a major project, starting a new office, or navigating an acquisition. I help people find their unique leadership style, and deliver results in a way that honors their values as a leader.
As an Engineering Director who’s worked in cloud software and insurance tech, I’ve managed teams of over 50 software engineers and site reliability engineers. My responsibilities included leading teams in China, India, Australia, Ireland, and in-person in San Francisco. I’ve launched new products that brought in over $200M in revenue and led computer infrastructure projects that have saved $30M in costs. I spun up two new offices, delivered major company-wide projects, architected reorganizations, navigated a company spin off, an acquisition, a company shutdown, and two successful IPOs. All while delivering high quality software and systems and helping team members grow and get promoted. I currently work as a fractional engineering director at Procense, a manufacturing tech startup.
I earned an M.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University, and dual B.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from UC Berkeley.
For fun, I volunteer as a docent at the San Francisco Zoo. You might find me there on the weekends talking to guests about the diets of giraffes and grizzly bears.
